Parking

Art Windsor-Essex Parking Lot

  • Parking lot entrance is on Church St.
  • Parking spots are located on the north side of the shared parking lot
  • Free
  • 3-hour time limit
  • 6 regular parking spots
  • 2 Accessible parking spots
  • There is ample bike parking
  • The Gallery is located right near the transit hub.

The City of Windsor offers many options for Downtown Parking. Additional parking, including accessible parking spots, are available on the west side of the aquatic centre, next to AWE.

Free Guided Gallery Tours

Have you ever wondered what secrets lie within the works of art in our galleries? Find out for yourself during our Public Guided Tours of Art Windsor-Essex! Join our knowledgeable Gallery Guides for interpretive tours of the gallery. Learn about the artistic approach and vision of the fascinating artists featured in our current exhibitions.

  • Free guided tours are offered on Saturdays from 2pm – 3pm. Attendees will meet their Gallery Guide on the 2nd floor. Tours are FREE with admission to the gallery.

Are You an Educator?

AWE offers in-person and virtual learning. Explore the AWE collection, analyze important themes, and have thoughtful discussions through hands-on learning. Your students will learn about art and have fun while meeting curriculum goals. Visit us in person, or virtually! Tours are available in French and in English.

Self-Guided Tours

Bring your headphones to engage with Cuseum!

AWE has gone digital with Cuseum, a virtual platform that offers self-guided audio tours, insights into our artists and exhibitions, and fun facts about the work in the Gallery!  Here are some tips to access Cuseum during your visit:

  • Look for QR codes in the Gallery, and use your smartphone to scan the codes. This will launch Cuseum. Learn more about the artwork nearby.
  • Bring your headphones to see and hear the curatorial statements, artist statements, artist interviews, and audio tours. 
  • AWE has free wifi that you can use to access Cuseum.

If you have any questions about Cuseum during your visit, don’t hesitate to ask a staff member for help!
